Our Approach to Your Bookkeeping

Other accounting firms want you to hand write your checks, then at the end of the month, quarter, or year, bring in your check stubs for them to input into their software. In addition to hand writing all those checks, you then pay them to input the data into their computer. It's an expensive way to get your bookkeeping done and you don't have financial information to manage your business until the accountant gets around to all that data entry. Our approach to your bookkeeping is to teach you how to keep your books yourself, to the extent you have the time and inclination. We'll teach you to print your checks from the computer and when that's done, the data entry is done. In addition, when you want financial information about your business, you can print the reports from your accounting system. We'll support you with group classes, individual instruction and assistance, and phone support when you need it. The best software for most small businesses is QuickBooks®.

QuickBooks® Training, Support & Custom Reports

Take advantage of our years of experience supporting and training QuickBooks® users. We conduct periodic hands-on classes in bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and sales tax in our office using the best material in the industry. We use only Sleeter Group training material. Classes are inexpensive and students keep a terrific manual from each class.

We offer email and telephone support for QuickBooks® Pro, Premier, and Enterprise on a contract basis. The difference between our support and Intuit's is that we can answer your bookkeeping questions too.

We are able to produce custom reports from the QuickBooks® database. Many reporting items are not available on reports in QuickBooks®, but our specialized knowledge helps you overcome the shortcomings of QuickBooks® reporting. If you need additional reports to run your business, don't let QuickBooks® stop you from having the report you need. We make it easy for you to print that special report when you need it.

QuickBooks® Setup and Repair Services

Don't be fooled into thinking QuickBooks® does your accounting for you. QuickBooks® is a great program if it's setup properly in the beginning. Don't make critical errors that cost you increased accounting fees later. We can setup your datafile right for your business the first time and teach you how to use it properly. We have standard flat fees for many QuickBooks® services.

We are a full service accounting and tax firm as well, offering conventional data entry, financial reporting and tax services to our clients at competitive rates.

Our tax services include individual, corporate, partnership, LLC, and payroll planning and preparation including multi-state taxes.
